Many of us have drawers or cabinets overflowing with makeup products. Maybe you’ve decorized your makeup drawer and still have a pile of products with no organized home, or maybe you are so intimidated by your mountain of eyeshadow that you haven’t attempted to tackle it.
Whatever led to your heap of Too Faced eye shadows, I have a decorative DIY to help you both organize and display your pretty makeup products.
After all, makeup isn’t just a tool to make you look and feel your best, it’s also a decoration in itself – the chic details on makeup packaging are nothing short of glam.
Step 1: Collect Your Supplies
For this DIY, you’ll need:
This DIY is super easy to whip up. Begin by collecting a magnetic board and some adhesive magnets. I purchased my magnetic board at Target for $10, and the adhesive magnets from Hobby Lobby for a few bucks. Both items should be easy to find while being light on your DIY budget.
Step 2: Select Your Makeup Products
Next, tackle that pile of makeup and select which ones you’d like to display on your board. This project works best with smaller makeup products, like eyeshadows, but can be used with larger products depending on the intensity of your magnets.
Step 3: Apply Your Magnets
Once you have your makeup products sorted and selected, remove the covering on your magnets to reveal the adhesive and stick onto the backs of your products. If your products are a little larger – like the above lip glosses – use multiple magnets to ensure they don’t slide down your magnet board.
Step 4: Add Your Products & Display
Once your magnets are all applied, pop your products onto your magnetic board and viola! Now your makeup is organized and readily accessible, while also serving as a pretty decoration.
