After all of that Spring cleaning and organizing, adding some fresh decorative touches sounds appropriate. However, with a limited budget, it can seem difficult to glamorize your space. Well, I have news for you – you don’t have to break the bank to make your home look photo-worthy. Keep reading for some of my favorite low-cost ways to transform your space. In case you missed it, you can get some more budget-friendly tips here.
Tip #1: Add String Lights
Adding some string lights is a sure-fire way to glam up a room. I usually stick with clear lights rather than going for the year-round Christmas vibe, but you can do whatever floats your boat. All you need to brighten up your space – literally – is a strand of lights and some push pins.
Tip #2: Add Curtains
Curtains add such an elegant aura to a room. Not only do they look nice, but floor to ceiling curtains can create the illusion of a larger space with higher ceilings. You can find affordable curtains at a variety of places, both in stores and online. The pictured curtains are from Kohl’s. Don’t forget to purchase a curtain rod to hang them – Target has a generous selection of affordable rods.
Tip #3: Add Photos
You probably have plenty of pictures stored on that phone of yours. Why not make use of them for non-social media purposes by printing ’em out and decorating your space? I love adding framed photos and decorative signs in a variety of shapes and sizes to my living quarters. They serve a dual purpose too, doubling as glimpses of memories to brighten your day and filling your wall space with character and charm.
